The annual aviation event made it’s way back to the Lakeland community this past weekend. This Friday should mark the start to a busy weekend. Gates open at 8 am, & close at 8 pm. You may want to catch the balloon launch on Saturday morning at 6:30 am. It’s always a crowd-pleaser. The world-renowned Blue Angels will be taking flight between 4-5:15 on Saturday & Sunday as well. there will also be other daily air demonstrations, workshops, speakers,forums, exhibits, & plenty of fun activities for kids & adults of all ages. You will also want to visit the Florida Air Museum which is on site. The Sunset Grill will be serving food all day, so bring your appetite!
If you have not made it out, you must attend! It’s another one of Lakeland’s signature events. I hope to see you there.
This was actually the first year I made it to Sun-N-Fun. I always thought it was mainly just for pilots and airplane enthusiasts, but I was real impressed with both the size of the event and the shows.
The blue angels and F-22 Raptor demonstrations were nothing short of awesome.
